I went for a light and bright palette. I used a neutral color called Accessible Beige by Sherwin Williams on all the walls so that my aqua accents would pop!
I hope you enjoyed my before and after photos.
Have a wonderful week!

Love your home, please do tell me where you got the aqua wall clock from ? thanks

I absolutely love your sweet cottage! Every room is so welcoming and inviting….I am a lover of the beach, alto I have to travel to get to it. I’ve been decorating my house (a Sears house my Grandparents built close to 100 yrs ago) in a mostly coastal theme without going … overboard! Pun intended.. Lol I’m retired and on a budget so I can’t do as much as I’d like, but little by little. All of my woodwork is natural wood that’s been varnished, and I can’t bring myself to paint over it, alto I would much prefer white woodwork, doors, windows, etc. As a result, the rooms appear a bit dark, rather than bright and airy. Your home is an inspiration to me…. and I’m delighted I recently stumbled across your beautiful site.
breezydesigns says
Thank you so much! Your house sounds beautiful! Thank you again for your sweet words. I really appreciate it! Xo-Breezy
breezydesigns says
Hi There Carol! Back fill means: After you lay your tape down on the walls you then paint the base color that the walls are currently painted over the blue painters tape. Let it dry. Then you apply your accent color. After the accent color has dried you can remove the painters tape and there should be no bleeding in of the accent color onto the base color.
breezydesigns says
Hi there! The aqua color is Gentle Wave by Valspar.
Carol S says
Thanks so much! I’m anxious to try this! I so love your cottage and style 🙂

Your house is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE everything about it! I am in the process of redoing our home and this is the look I have been trying to achieve! I wish I could move into yours!! 😉 Could you please tell me what type of paint you used to paint your kitchen cabinets? I would like to paint mine and I have heard chalk paint (which I love) works very nicely on cabinets. The cabinets looks beautiful! Also, is the color of the top rail of the railing Gentle Wave by Valspar, also? Thanks so much for sharing pictures of your beautiful home!! 🙂
breezydesigns says
Hello Dawn! Thank you so much for your sweet comments! I used Zinger BIN Primer (alcohol based) and then Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Alkyd in Pure White (Color). We used an airless sprayer for the cabinets. Make sure to sand them well. Thanks for stopping by! Happy painting!
