I decided to do a memory book that was Halloween themed for my husband and I. I bought a grunge board book at my local scrapbooking store. It comes plain and I added the paper and embellishments. Each page had it’s own theme and color palette. I love Halloween colors because they are so vibrant and fun! I did each page with one side for a picture and the other to write about the event. This was the first page I did. I used two different types of paper then added the embellishments. I used green rhinestones and placed them on each green polka dot that was on the paper.
This was the second page. On the left I made a pocket to hold a tag which I will use to write a memory on. On the right side I found a wood pumpkin and attached it to the bottom of the page. I used rubber cement for most of the book. On the ribbon I used a glue gun.
For the ribbon on the left side of the book I tied it into a bow and used a glue gun to adhere it to the page. To get the fun designs on the paper I used special scissors that have different patterns when you cut.
On the right I used two different types of paper. I put the green down first then used the black on top. I used my special scissors to cut the zig zag pattern into the black paper. I then added the wood spider. The letters on the left that spell out “Witchy” came in a pack of letters. I use them throughout the book to spell out fun Halloween sayings.
On the left I put down my first paper then made my pocket with the Jack O Lantern pattern on it. I added the pumpkin embellishments to finish out both pages.
BOO!
It was so much fun! I love being creative. It gives me so much joy! If you have any questions on how things were done please ask. :0)
